CRAWFORDasked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to a Question put to him by the Member for Preston on the 14th February, respecting applications by assessors of Income 1500 Tax for statements of the salaries paid to clerks in the establishments of private firms, Whether he has received any letter from the Clerk of the Commissioners of Income Tax for the City of London on the subject, and if he will lay a Copy of such Letter upon the Table of the House?
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER, in reply, said, a copy of a letter received from the clerk of the Commissioners, together with a memorandum issued by the Board of Inland Revenue, should be laid on the Table of the House.
