§ THE LORD ADVOCATEsaid, in reply, that a Bill respecting the abolition of rates now levied in Scotland for the erection and repair of churches and manses had been prepared for a long while, and he should be glad to introduce it as soon as he saw a reasonable prospect of being able to carry it.
