SIR JOHN LUBBOCK

, in the absence of Mr. MAGNIAC, asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether the Communication from the Chinese Government, to which reference has been made in Mr. Wade's Telegrams, and of which a precis has appeared in the newspapers, has yet been received from Her Majesty's representative at Pekin; if not, whether Her Majesty's Government will endeavour to procure a Copy from the French Government, by whom it is understood to have been received, and lay it upon the Table?

VISCOUNT ENFIELD

, in reply, said, it had not been received. As soon as it should it would be presented to Parliament. In the meantime Her Majesty's Government would endeavour to procure a Copy, and lay it on the Table.
