§ MR. LIDDELLasked the Under Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he is in a position to state what course the Government intend to pursue with regard to the appointment of the Mines Regulation Bill Committee?
§ MR. WINTERBOTHAM, in reply, said, he had communicated with his right hon. Friend at the head of the Department with reference to this Bill. From the opinions which had been expressed as to the Committee, he was led to believe that it would not materially shorten the labours of the House, he therefore did not intend to proceed with its nomination.
