Amendment proposed, to leave out the words "Friday next," in order to insert the words "this day month,"—(Sir Frederick Heygate,)—instead thereof.

Question proposed, "That the words 'Friday next' stand part of the Question."

Motion made, and Question put, "That the Debate be now adjourned."—(Mr. Goldsmid.)

The House divided:—Ayes 53; Noes 24: Majority 29.
