CAPTAIN VIVIANSir, a new department for the control of travelling expenditure has been created under the Surveyor General of the Ordnance. The whole subject of travelling allowances has been under careful consideration, and it is hoped that the part of the Royal Warrant which refers to these allowances will be ready in a short time.
