MR. KENNAWAY

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether, in the proposed augmentation of the Army, the claims of officers to employment who have obtained Commissions through Sandhurst, and who, after serving Her Majesty in tropical climates have been compelled to go on half-pay in consequence of the disbanding of the West India Regiments, will be considered?

MR. CARDWELL

replied that the claims of the officers to whom the hon. Gentleman referred had been and would be considered whenever occasion offered, both by the Field Marshal Commanding-in-Chief and himself.
