§ MR. A. E. GUESTsaid, he wished to ask the First Commissioner of Works, Whether he has applied to the Treasury to sanction the necessary provision for completing the decoration of the Central Hall?
§ MR. AYRTONsaid, in reply, that the Estimates upon this subject would be laid upon the table of the House in due course; and if the hon. Gentleman should then find any difficulty in understanding them, he (Mr. Ayrton) should be most happy to give him any further information in his power. It was quite new, however, for any hon. Gentleman to require to know what communications had taken place between different Members of the Government with respect to the Estimates.
