HC Deb 10 March 1870 vol 199 c1630
MR. ASSHETON CROSS

said, he would beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, On what day he will bring on the Second Reading of the Savings Banks Bill?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

Sir, I hope to get the Coinage Bill through Committee this evening; and with regard to all the other Bills which stand in my name I purpose to put them down for Thursday next, in the hope, which, I confess, is not altogether an assured one, of being able to bring them on on that day.
