§ MR. STACPOOLEsaid, he wished to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, What are the intentions of Her Majesty's Government with respect to the Boroughs of Cashel and Sligo; and whether they intend to propose to the House that new writs shall issue for those or either of those Boroughs this Session?
§ MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUEreplied, that the Report of the Sligo Commissioners had not yet been received. As soon as it was received the Government would be prepared to make a statement with respect to that and also to the borough of Cashel.
