HC Deb 14 June 1870 vol 202 cc99-100
MR. MELLY

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he proposes to bring forward the promised measure for the Regulation of Trades Unions this Session; or, if not, whether he intends to bring in a Bill extending the operation of the 32 and 33 Vict. c. 61, being an Act to Protect the Funds of Trades' Unions from Embezzlement and Misappropriation, and which expires on the 31st August next?

MR. BRUCE

said, in reply, that it was his intention to bring forward a Bill upon the subject of the Regulation of Trades Unions in the course of the present Session; but in the event of his being unable to do so, he should certainly introduce a Bill to extend the operation of the 32 & 33 Vict. c. 61 for another year.
