§ MR. EYKYNsaid, that the result of discussions which had taken place outside the House was that the Corporation of London had withdrawn their opposition to the Bill, and, therefore, he apprehended that there would be no objection to the second reading. He congratulated the Corporation upon the public spirit they had exhibited in surrendering their jurisdiction over those who carried on the business of brokers in the City.
