§ COLONEL WILMOTsaid he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, When Rifles will be re-issued to Volunteer Corps in Districts 8, 10, and 6; and, whether, in accordance with Volunteer Circular No. 51, only those Rifles will be issued "the grooves of which may be unimpaired?"
CAPTAIN VIVIAN, in reply said, that rifles would be immediately re-issued to Volunteer Corps in Districts 8, 10, and 6. Those rifles, the grooves of which were found to be impaired would be withdrawn, and their places supplied by weapons of perfect construction.
