HC Deb 05 August 1870 vol 203 c1574
MR. DICKINSON

said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the Actuary's Report on the Bombay Military Fund has yet or when will it be made?

MR. GRANT DUFF

In reply, Sir, to my hon. Friend, I have to say that the Actuary's Report was received on the 1st of August. It shows that the fund is in deficit. This being so, no increase can of course be made to the pensions; but they will be continued at their present rate under the guarantee given by the Secretary of State and confirmed by Parliament.
