TORRENSsaid, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether it is true that the 18th Regiment have been withdrawn from New Zealand and distributed throughout the Australian Colonies, and whether the expense will be defrayed in full, or in part, by the Colonial Governments?
§ MR. MONSELL, in reply, said, the 18th Regiment would remain in Australia for a few weeks, and would probably be removed in the month of August. He could not state in what way the expense for that short period would be defrayed.
