HC Deb 18 March 1869 vol 194 c1653
MR. HADFIELD

said, he wished to ask Mr. Attorney General, Whether the revision of the Statutes has been comcompleted, or what part thereof, and when a Report will be submitted to the House; and when a Bill will be introduced for repealing obsolete and useless Statutes?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

said, in reply, that the revision of the statutes up to the 10th of George III. had been completed. The process of revising the statutes since that date had been going on for some time, and he believed it approached completion. He was unable to say that it would be completed during the present Session. But he might state that it was under the consideration of Her Majesty's Government to prepare and issue a revised edition of the statutes.
