MR. GATHORNE HARDYappealed to the hon. and gallant Member for Longford (Mr. O'Reilly) that, in consideration of the Attorney General for Ireland having moved for the production of the Report of the Judge who had tried the petition, he would postpone his Motion with respect to the City of Dublin election. It was most desirable that the action of that House should be in conformity with the decision of the Judge, and therefore it would be necessary that 1543 they should have an opportunity of seeing the Judge's Report.
§ THE ATTORNEY GENEEAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. SULLIVAN)said, that as the matter affected a constituency so important as that of the City of Dublin, he thought it was but right the judgment of the learned Judge should be laid on the laid on the table before his hon. and gallant Friend's Motion was submitted to the House.
§ MR. O'REILLYsaid, that after what had fallen from the two right hon. Gentlemen he should postpone his Motion until the judgment was laid upon the table.
§ Motion postponed.
