§ MR. T. CHAMBERSsaid, he begged to ask leave to make an explanation with respect to a statement made the other day by the hon. Member for Gal-way (Mr. W. H. Gregory), that the two persons who had sworn an information that they had been engaged in forging signatures to the Petition in favour of opening Museums on Sundays had subsequently been taken into the employment of the Lord's Day Society. The hon. Gentleman had been misinformed on the subject. The Society had never employed these men, and it would have been highly improper had they done so.
