§ MR. LAYARDsaid, in reply, that he had nothing to do with the arrangements as to mere architectural ornaments. These were in the hands of Mr. Barry, who had hitherto employed Signor Salviati in the mosaic work. He believed that with regard to the large pictures no arrangement had yet been made.
