§ MR. BONHAM-CARTERsaid, that the measure proposed to extend to these societies a remedy which was not participated in by any other subjects of Her Majesty, except members of friendly societies; and, in his opinion, it was doubtful whether this was the proper way of correcting the defects of the present law.
§ MR. COLLINSsaid, that he felt obliged to the Government for having brought in the measure this Session.
§ MR. WHALLEYsaid, he was glad that the operation of the Bill had been confined to one year.
