HC Deb 19 July 1869 vol 198 c156
MR. O'REILLY

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, Whether it would not be desirable that, in the present hot weather, the drills at Aldershot, especially the Brigade and Divisional field days, should be carried on in the early morning and not in the heat of the day?

MR. CARDWELL

said, in reply, that the arrangements for the drills at Aldershot were at present in the hands of a most distinguished and experienced officer, and he had heard no complaints that they were not carried out with a due regard to the health and comfort of the troops.
