§ MR. JAMES HOWARDsaid, he would beg to ask Mr. Attorney General, Whether it be the intention of the Government to introduce during the present Session any measure for the amendment of the Patent Laws; and, if so, whether it is the intention of the Government to embody in the Bill the "Recommendations" of the Royal Commission (dated July 29, 1864) appointed to into the working of the Law relating to Letters Patent for Inventions?
THE ATTORNEY GENERALsaid, there were so many important questions to be dealt with that he was not able to hold out any confident expectation that the Government would be able to deal with the question of the Patent Laws this Session.
