SIR ROBERT ANSTBUTHERsaid, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the troops that served in Bhootan in 1864 and 1865 will receive the medal granted for frontier service in India; and, if not, the reasons for not giving it to them?
MR. GRANT DUFFSir, I must repeat to my hon, Friend the Member for 1145 Fife the answer which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Perth (Mr. Kinnaird) some weeks ago—namely, that the North-west Frontier medal was conferred at the suggestion of the Government of India, but that the Government of India has not recommended the grant of any medal for Bhootan.
