BREWERsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, If the Government have satisfactory accounts of the results of the industrial employment of Soldiers in their leisure time at the various Military Depots where the system has been allowed; and if so, whether he will extend the advantage of this system to the Soldiers in Camp at Colchester?
§ MR. CARDWELLsaid, in reply, that very satisfactory accounts had been received of the system of soldiers' employment to which the hon. Member referred. He was very anxious to extend the system as far as possible. He knew no reason why it should not be applied to Colchester, and he hoped it would soon be applied.
