§ Reasons for disagreeing to certain of the Lords' Amendments reported.
§ MR. S. MORLEYsaid, he wished to take that opportunity of stating his belief that the Government had fairly and honestly redeemed their pledge with regard to this measure, which was the best that had been secured during the lifetime of any trader in this country. The thanks of the trading community were due to the Government, and especially to the Attorney General for the manner in which he had listened to the representations of the Chambers of Commerce on this question.
