Charles Craven has been selected to be placed on half-pay, he not being the junior; but it is not accurate to say that the usual custom of the service has been departed from. The usual custom of the service—and my duty—is, in consultation with the Chaplain General, to make such arrangements as I think most desirable for the public service.
