THE EARL OF MAYOA correspondence has taken place between Her Majesty's Government and the two prelates appointed at the meeting of the Irish Roman Catholic hierarchy held in Dublin to communicate with the Government on the part of the Archbishops and Bishops. That correspondence is now nearly complete and it will be my duty, I hope in a few days, to lay it on the table of the House. No steps will be taken as regards a Charter for the Catholic University till the House is in possession of the correspondence.
