COLONEL SYKESsaid, he wished to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether the Treasury Minute, dated the 16th August, 1867, for the audit of the sums granted for Fortifications annually has been carried into effect; and whether the results will be laid upon the Table?
§ MR. SCLATER-BOOTHsaid, in reply, that the annual audit of these sums had been carried into effect in accordance with the terms of the Treasury Minute, and the results of that audit would be laid upon the table of the House as soon as possible. He could not promise, however, that they would be ready by a very early day.
