GATHORNE HARDYsaid, in reply, that he could not promise to bring in a Bill in accordance with all the recommendations of the Select Committee of last Session, but he thought the Government would deal with the suggestion that inquiry should be made as to suspicious fires. At the same time he must not be understood as giving any distinct pledge on the Question.
