SIR WILLIAM HUTT

, in moving for leave to bring in a Bill for the better regulation and supervision by the Board of Trade of the accounts of Railway and other Joint Stock Companies, explained that it was the same measure as was introduced and read a second time last Session.

MR. STEPHEN CAVE

said, that he should of course offer no opposition, but he thought it well to inform his right hon. Friend that clauses had been introduced into the Railway Regulation Bill of the Board of Trade, which he would perhaps think, when he saw them, went as far as was practicable in the direction contemplated by his measure.

Motion agreed to. Bill for the better regulation and the supervision by the Board of Trade of the Accounts of Railway and other Joint Stock Companies, ordered to be brought in by Sir WILLIAM HUTT and Mr. ELLICE. Bill presented, and read the first time. [Bill 53.]
