§ MR. P. A. TAYLORsaid, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies a Question which he had privately asked him yesterday. It had reference to the Despatch spoken about a few days ago by the right hon. Gentleman (Mr. Disraeli), who described it as dated February 1867, and containing an engagement, in fulfilment of which a communication had been made to Mr. Eyre, asking him to send in an account for the expenses which had been incurred. He wished to know, If such Despatch had been printed—having searched for it in vain—and whether there will be any objection to lay it upon the Table?
