§ MR. HARVEY LEWISsaid, he wished to ask the First Commissioner of Works, What is the cause of the delay in the completion of the works in the inclosure in the Regent's Park, and when the same are likely to be completed; and, whether it is intended to cover the bottom of the lake with cement?
§ LORD JOHN MANNERSsaid, in reply, that the works were completed, and the water would be introduced almost immediately. The reason why the water had not been introduced was that a defect had been discovered in the drainage of the Regent's Park College, and till that was made good the water could not be let in; but that defect had now been remedied. It was not intended to cover the bottom of the lake with cement.
