AYRTONsaid, he believed that inquiries with reference to the Gas Companies of the Metropolis had been conducted with great advantage to the public, and moved that all the Bills relating to Gas Companies in the Metropolis be referred to a Select Committee of ten Members, five to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.
