THE LORD ADVOCATEsaid, in reply, that the Government fully recognized the importance of having a more comprehensive and minute system of Judicial Statistics than had hitherto been obtained, and steps had been taken for that purpose. He was about to introduce very shortly a Bill containing some clauses to impose on the officers of the Courts the duty of making such Returns.
