HC Deb 28 April 1868 vol 191 c1459
MR. PIM

said, he wished to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, When he intends to introduce his measures respecting the Land Question in Ireland; and when he expects that the "Electoral Statistics" for Ireland, ordered on Monday, 23rd March, will be laid upon the Table?

THE EARL OF MAYO

said, in reply, that the electoral statistics would be laid on the table to morrow. The Land Bill had been ready for some time; but it would be useless for him to introduce it unless he could see that there was a prospect of securing a full discussion for the measure, and that there was a chance of passing it this Session. Should he see a likelihood of this being the case, he would introduce the Bill, and explain its provisions to the House.
