§ SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTEreplied that the accounts received from Bombay were, he regretted to say, neither so full nor so accurate as he could have wished. They had, however, been placed in the hands of a gentleman of great experience in connection with military expeditions, and he had been engaged in making an Estimate which might be relied upon as much as any Estimate of the kind could be.
