§ MR. REARDENsaid, he wished to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to introduce a Bill this Session to amend the Act for the Relief of the Poor in Ireland, to the extent of granting outdoor relief, in like manner as under the Act for the Relief of the Poor in England and Wales?
LORD NAASsaid, in reply, that a larger power existed in Ireland than in England for granting outdoor relief, and he could assure the hon. Gentleman there was no intention on the part of Her Majesty's Government to propose any alteration in that law.
