HC Deb 17 May 1867 vol 187 c694
MR. BOUVERIE

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, When we may expect to have the Scotch Reform Bill in our hands?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

I believe that a particular passage of the Bill will, in the opinion of the draughtsman, be much influenced by the decision which the House will probably arrive at to-night, as to the exact meaning of the word "house." He wishes to have the benefit of the information which that decision will afford. Otherwise, I believe the Bill is printed and all but ready for distribution.

Motion, by leave, withdrawn.

Committee deferred till Monday next.
