said, he rose to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether the Government intend to propose the increase in the Estimates for National Education in Ireland, recommended by the Commissioners as necessary to carry out the proposed changes in the training and model schools?

Sir, it is the intention of the Government to propose the usual Estimate; but it is not their intention at present to carry out the proposed changes in the training and model schools.
