HC Deb 07 May 1867 vol 187 cc93-4
MR. BENTINCK

said, he wished to ask the Judge Advocate General, Why the Questions to be addressed by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners for England to the non-capitular Members of Cathedral and Collegiate Churches, relative to their claims to receive increased stipends under the provisions of the Act 29 & 30 Vict. c. 111. s. 18, have not been issued, and what is the cause of the delay which has occurred; and, when the scheme for the appropriation of the commutation payment to be made to the Dean and Chapter of Westminster, upon the surrender of their estates to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, will be laid upon the table of the House?

MR. MOWBRAY

said, in reply, that the delay in the first case was occasioned by the printers, but he would promise to hasten them and give the desired information to the House. With respect to the latter part of the Question of the hon. Member, he had to say that the scheme referred to was not yet finally settled, as the preparation of the necessary schedule required much time; but as soon as the arrangement was completed, he would lay upon the table of the House all necessary information upon the subject.
