§ SIR JAMES FERGUSSONSir, a statement has appeared in the papers, but no intelligence has been received by the Secretary of State as to the appointment of such an officer; nor is it known to the Secretary of State that the Governor General of India has any intention to send a Commercial Mission to Turkistan.
