§ MR. ADDERLEYSir, the Papers containing the Colonial Correspondence on the subject have been ready for some time for presentation, and there is no wish whatever to delay their production; but it is thought desirable that they should appear at the same time as the Foreign Office Correspondence with the French Government on the same subject, as the two elucidate each other. We are waiting for an answer from the French Government, and when it is given the correspondence will appear.
LORD STANLEYPerhaps I may be allowed to say that we have received the communication which I said a few nights ago we were waiting for, and the papers will be prepared for presentation in a short time.
