§ MR. GREGORYAs I see the noble Lord the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in his place, I venture to put a question to him, although I have not given notice to him. I have seen in foreign and English journals a statement to the effect that the Great Powers, including England, had agreed to a joint note to Turkey on the subject of the desolating war in Crete, and I wish to ask him whether there is any truth in that statement?
