HC Deb 30 July 1867 vol 189 cc475-6
MR. NEWDEGATE

said, he understood it would be very inconvenient to several hon. Members to proceed with the Contagious Diseases (Cattle) Bill on Saturday morning. He would, therefore, ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, If he could appoint some other time to take that Bill?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

said, he was sorry it was not in his power at the present moment to appoint any other time; but he should not think of pressing the House to go into Committee on that Bill on Saturday morning if hon. Gentlemen objected. He therefore should not make that proposition.
