HC Deb 26 July 1867 vol 189 c172
MR. GORST

said, he would beg to ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Whether the balance of the "Prothonotaries' Fee Fund Account," after deducting the expenses legally chargeable thereon, is not payable in aid of the Public Revenue, and does not form the ground of public accounting by the party receiving the same?

COLONEL WILSON PATTEN

said, that at the present moment there was no such thing as a Prothonotaries' Fee Fund in the Duchy of Lancaster. The prothonotary's fees had hitherto been paid to that officer himself; but, however, there was a Bill before the House which would deal with the matter.
