§ MR. LOWEsaid, he would beg to ask the noble Lord the Vice President of the Committee of Council, Whether he has any objection to lay on the table the Correspondence which has taken place between Merton College and the Privy Council on the subject of an ordinance which it was proposed to change?
§ LORD ROBERT MONTAGUsaid, he presumed that the right hon. Gentleman put this Question on the part of Merton College. They were parties to this Correspondence, and, as a matter of courtesy to them, he would not like to promise to produce the Correspondence without knowing the feelings of the Fellows of Merton College upon the subject. The right hon. Gentleman might see the Correspondence at the office if he wished, and could decide whether it was worth printing.
§ LORD ROBERT MONTAGUsaid, he had no objection to the production of the Correspondence if the College had none.
