§ MR. WHALLEYsaid, he would beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether, in his opinion, the prospect of passing the Bill for amending the Representation would not be greatly increased if the provisions relating to the Re-distribution of Seats were deferred to the next Session, whereby also the further advantage would be secured of the discussion of such provisions after the settlement of boundaries?
§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERIn answer to the Question of the hon. Gentleman, I would say that I have no wish to increase the prospect of passing the Bill for the Representation of the People this Session. I am perfectly satisfied with that prospect.
