§ MR. AYRTONmoved that the Order be discharged, he having arranged with the noble Lord having charge of the measure that the Order for this and the following Bills should be discharged.

To leave out from the words "That the" to the end of the Question, in order to add the words "said Order be discharged,"—(Mr. Ayrton,)
—instead thereof.
§ Question proposed, "That the words proposed to be left out stand part of the Question."
§ SIR JAMES FERGUSSONsaid, that it was unusual to press a Motion for the discharge of a measure in the absence of the Member who had charge of it.
§ MR. M'KENNAsaid that, at all events, it was only a question whether the Order should be discharged on that or the following day.
§ MR. AYRTONsaid, he thought that an arrangement once made should be carried out. He should persist in his Motion, but had no objection to the debate on that Motion being adjourned until the following day.
§ MR. LABOUCHEREmoved the adjournment of the debate.
