§ COLONEL NORTHsaid, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, Whe- 488 ther it is the intention of Government to carry out the recommendations, as regarded increased pay, &c., of the Committee which was appointed to inquire into and report upon the grievances of Medical Officers of the Army and Navy?
THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONsaid, in reply, that the Report of the Committee had only been received a very short time. He was not even aware of what view his noble Friend at the head of the Admiralty took of the recommendations of that Committee, and it was impossible therefore to say at present to what extent the recommendations could be adopted either as respected the army or navy.
