§ SIR JOHN PAKINGTONsaid, he had on a former evening expressed it to be his opinion that the circumstances which he had brought before the House in connection with the Devonport Election ought to be investigated by a Select Committee. It was then suggested on the part of the Government—and in the propriety of that suggestion he quite concurred—that it was advisable before taking that step to wait for the arrival of the information which they expected to receive from Devonport on the subject. The Question he now wished to put was, Whether that information has been received, and when it will be in the hands of Members?
§ LORD CLARENCE PAGETIt was laid on the table of the House yesterday.
